Pilkington’s
Established in 1891 Pilkington's Group has a history and heritage of innovation, design and manufacturing that can be traced back over 118 years.
In the early 1900's, the world famous Lancastrian Pottery was formed as a result of an amalgamation of the unique skills of William Burton and the company's team of leading artists and designers from Minton Hollins and Wedgwood.
In 1913 the company was awarded the Royal Warrant, and Royal Lancastrian Pottery was created - now an international collectors' brand. By 1938 the company began to specialise in ceramic wall tiles.

Pilkington’s Calendar Tile Library – A Unique Tradition of a Great British Company
The very first calendar tile was designed in 1954 and the company has produced an annual calendar tile ever since depicting a unique design each year. The designs portray significant events in the companies history, illustrate worldwide events such as the opening of the Sydney Opera House and the Olympics in relevant years, as well as promote new product lines in later years

The 150 year old Dorset brand was acquired by the group in 1999, widening the portfolio to include fully vitrified environmental and sustainable safety flooring installations.
